Now
placed in the ‘open air museum’ of Bostanlı (along the shore from Cordelio),
this appears to be the only statue rescued by an enlightened official, the
sole survivor of no doubt many treasures lost when the Catholic cemetery
of Caravan bridge was destroyed - tombstones displayed in Uşak Museum in Anatolia, possibly from this same cemetery. |
