Alex was the son of Christoph who was the son of Luca Dabcovich who in turn was the son of Niko Vidov Dabkovic who left Budva, Montenegro for Istanbul and in 1855 founded the family named shipping agency in the then capital of the Ottoman Empire. The company was sold in 1993 to Inchcape Shipping Services which has retained the name. | |
