Simes family tomb at Paşaköprü cemetery. An uncle of Albert Simes, Padre/Father Marcolino Simes served as a priest at the SS. Rosario Catholic Church [full listing of the serving clergy] between 1903-1904, and dying in 1911. He is marked by his birth name and his assumed name is in initial - Joseph M. Simes and what is interesting is that he is marked as ‘Rev.Fr’ suggesting that he either was a Protestant and later became a Catholic, or vice-versa - information courtesy of Andrew Simes.
