Based on testimony of Iolanda Braggiotti the former Gabriel Russo house. Later and earlier occupants are unknown. Since 1990 it has been mildly altered to act as a branch of one of the state banks.
Gabriel Russo was the son of Edmond and Marie (nee Russo) Russo. His siblings were named Abel (Iolanda Braggiotti’s father), Elysee, Marcel, Marthe and Marie-Jeanne. He married Berta Heller and the couple had a daughter called Berta. After Berta’s birth, mother Berta passed away and Gabriel married this time his wife’s elder sister Hulda Heller. Hulda did not give birth to a child in that marriage; however had children from a previous marriage to a Rossi. So the couple raised their children from their previous marriages. After the death of Gabriel Russo (1944) Berta Russo moved to Alsancak. Hulda, her daughter (Giselle) and son-in-law, Marcel Icard, continued living in Buca. Giselle and Marcel had 2 children (Guy and Loraine).
