Hasköy viewed from the Golden Horn circa 1919. The building left of centre could be the Church of Scotland Mission School. According to a study conducted by Erkan Cevizliler on the British School in the Ottoman Empire in the beginning of the 20th century (2014), this school was founded in 1859 and was the second British run school in the area (both aiming to educate the local Jewish children) and one of 5 in the ciy of Constantinople. |
