This building on the Fener hill known by the locals as the ‘Londra Köşkü’ [London Mansion] was centred, a sign of a former British merchant community (perhaps this was a consortium trade house pre-1924?) in the area long-gone.
Remains of the curved non-slip iron-work by the entrance of this building, with the British AATI brand (the same that you would see in London at the subway and elsewhere).
Further down the same hill, possibly in those blocked up vaults, was where these ‘Scottish Brewery’ was situated, now a distant memory, information again gleaned from old timers in the neighbourhood.
