Grace is the widow of Richard Abbott (as revealed in the 1891 census below), presumably one of George Frederick Abbott’s sons of Salonica? Registered in Christchurch Ecclesiastical Parish, Wandsworth, Streatham, near London.


Baker:


Registered in Bexley in Kent, George Percival Baker is shown as aged 45 (fits in with what we know, born 1856), a calico printer (of Indian cotton cloth - not known). Violet features in known offspring, but George and Harry may have died in infancy.

Additional notes by descendant Belinda Levitan: “Minnie Davis” - full name Mary Emily, so the same person; “George F” - known as Frank (served in Tanganyika, East Africa during WWI); Harry B - known as Brian, Brian and the eldest boy (not in the census) Rob were the only male survivors of WWI.
